Statement From The Artist

Final Girls’ Guide is more than just a podcast, it’s a love letter to the horror genre and a space to explore why scary stories matter. As a lifelong horror fan and filmmaker, I’ve always been drawn to what the genre can reveal about us, our fears, our desires, our culture, and the roles we’re forced to play. With Final Girls’ Guide, I get to dive into those ideas every week alongside my best friend and co-host. Together, we unpack horror’s tropes, history, and evolving legacy, all from the perspective of two Gen Z women who grew up on final girls and folklore, slashers and scream queens.

The podcast is where I bring my passion for horror into conversation with my filmmaking background. We talk about everything from visual storytelling and genre theory to behind-the-scenes craft and cultural commentary. Our goal isn’t just to review movies, it’s to interrogate them, celebrate them, and figure out what they’re really trying to say. We’ve built a space where horror isn’t just entertainment, but a form of emotional and artistic expression worthy of serious (and not-so-serious) analysis. What makes Final Girls’ Guide special to me is how personal it feels. It’s a chance to connect, with listeners, with my co-host, and with a community of horror lovers who see themselves in these stories. It’s also a place where I get to be fully myself: a filmmaker, a fan, a woman who loves the genre for both its power and its messiness. At the heart of the show is our belief that horror can be both critical and fun, that you can honor the genre’s legacy while challenging it to grow. That you can laugh, scream, and think deeply, all in the same episode. And that horror isn’t just about what scares us, it’s about who we become when we face those fears.

The Final Girls Guide Team

Sahiti Satish is the Co-host and Producer of the podcast Final Girls’ Guide. As an Indian American from New Jersey and Mumbai, she transformed her identity crisis into a unique global perspective which fuels all her creative endeavors.

After getting her Bachelors in Advertising from Mumbai, she worked as a Creative Strategist, Copywriter, and Marketing Coordinator while also keeping her passion for films alive by writing and directing short films and entering festivals in her down time. Final Girls’ Guide is her path to exploring horror through the lens of some of her other favorite genres- sci-fi, analog, video games, and more.

Spencer Stringer (he/him) was stolen from a promising future as an engineer by the first podcast he ever heard. Though his love for horror came late in life, he is excited to expand his knowledge through the wisdom of the Final Girls Guide.

“There is still time.” - my new fav horror movie :)

Adam Heilbrunn is the associate producer of Final Girls’ Guide. Starting his foray into horror by wandering into the horror section at Blockbuster when he was 8, his fascination with the genre hasn’t stopped since. With a strong love for Asian horror movies and vast knowledge of horror video games, along with a Bachelor’s in Film and Animation from R.I.T., he hopes to use his years of learning and industry experience to help turn Final Girls’ Guide into the premiere horror podcast it’s meant to be. Outside of the podcast, Adam uses his love for horror to think of new disturbing encounters for his Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
